Bisabolol is also known as alpha-bisabolol. It can be extracted naturally or derived synthetically. We use the naturally derived bisabolol, which is obtained from the medicinal plant - Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) - where the (-) a Bisabolol isomer is the active principle in the plant. Bisabolol itself is a clear, colorless to slightly yellowish liquid, with a faint, floral, sweetish odor. Chamomile (camomile) oil itself has a deep blue color.
GelRed™ is an ultra sensitive, extremely stable and environmentally safe fluorescent nucleic acid dye designed to replace the highly toxic ethidium bromide (EB) for staining dsDNA, ssDNA or RNA in agarose gels or polyacrylamide gels. GelRed™ is far more sensitive than EB without requiring a destaining step. GelRed™ and EB have virtually the same spectra, so you can directly replace EB with GelRed™ without changing your existing imaging system.
GelRed™ can be used to stain dsDNA, ssDNA or RNA in agarose gels via either precast or post gel staining. GelRed™ can also be used to stain dsDNA, ssDNA or RNA in polyacrylamide gels via post gel staining. A series of safety tests have confirmed that GelRed™ is noncytotoxic, nonmutagenic and nonhazardous at concentrations well above the working concentrations used in gel staining. As a result, working strength GelRed™ can be safely disposed of down the drain or in regular trash, providing convenience and reducing cost in waste disposal. The enzyme is recommended for synthesis of cDNA from 100 bp up to 10 kb length.

SeaKem® LE Agarose is ideal for routine analysis of nucleic acids by gel electrophoresis and blotting. Each gel sharply resolves DNA and provides consistent resolution from lot-to-lot. This molecular biology grade agarose has no detectable DNase or RNase activity and forms strong gels with low background upon ethidium bromide, SYBR® Green, or GelStar™ Staining. Due to its low EEO, DNA will have a high electrophoretic mobility. SeaKem® LE is also recommended for protein gel electrophoresis in applications such as Ouchterlony and radial immunodiffusion (RID).
SYBR® Green I stain is a highly sensitive fluorescent stain for detecting dsDNA and oligonucleotides in agarose and polyacrylamide gels. Because SYBR® Green's fluorescent signal is greatly enhanced when the dye is bound to nucleic acids, gels stained with SYBR® Green I exhibit an excellent signal-to-noise ratio with no background fluorescence. For maximum performance, gels should be poststained. SYBR® Green I is ideal for gel-based detection of small amounts of DNA in low copy/target number PCR products, apoptosis studies, and heteroduplex analysis.
